    JOB DESCRIPTION
    Qualified candidates will possess current knowledge and experience with automotive manufacturing Controls equipment in an OEM or assembly plant/vehicle launch setting. The candidate will be working in a team-oriented environment and will be responsible for assisting with the development of courses and teaching maintenance personnel in the programming, electrical maintenance and troubleshooting procedures for manufacturing plant automation systems. The candidate will also provide problem resolution and process improvement consultative services as required. Candidates must enjoy working with people and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
     
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develop technical training programs and course materials
    • Deliver technical training programs in a lecture/demonstration format
    • Deliver Structured on the Job training in a production environment
    • Work closely with customer skilled trades / maintenance teams

    Details:

    REQUIRMENTS
    • Associate's Degree in applied science
    • Bachelors of Science (preferred)
    •                                  OR
    • Five + years' experience in Programmable Logic Controls for Manufacturing Technology or applicable experience
    • Previous work/training experience in a manufacturing environment 
    • Technical writing skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be able to work from home and at client sites
    • Thorough understanding of, and practical experience working with Allen Bradley ControlLogix and GaurdLogix software knowledge is required
    • Other controls and robot experience including experience with Hirata equipment is a plus
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Problem solving manufacturing issues related to production design / documentation
    • Able to work in cross-functional & cross-cultural environment
    • Able to travel to locations within the United States while on assignment
    • Proficient with computer use including the Microsoft Suite of tools
     
    PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS  
    Some travel to manufacturing facilities throughout the US is required. Physical requirements of the job include walking and standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting and moving equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
