Slade Land Use, Environmental, and Transportation Planning, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage vertical and horizontal construction projects. This position provides managerial oversight for construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and building codes.


In addition to Project Manager, this role will support Facility Asset Management, assisting local Maintenance Directors. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled leader with experience in supervising construction activities, managing RFIs, submittals, drawing organization, and working with general contractors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Oversee project teams, including general contractors, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and manage budgets, including capital expenditures, cost tracking, and project forecasting.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and construction drawings.
  • Monitor progress and resolve issues related to delays, emergencies, or unforeseen challenges.
  • Prepare reports and updates for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status.
  • Develop schedules and maintain targeted completion dates.
  • Review and approve contracts with General Contractors and negotiate project terms.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions, oversee progress, and validate completed work.
  • Coordinate with facility leaders to ensure project needs align with business objectives.
  • Assist with due diligence for acquisitions and redevelopment projects.

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in Construction or Facilities Project Management required.
  • HCAI experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong experience in site assessments, budget estimating, and project cost management.
  • Knowledge of state and federal building regulations.
  • Experience managing contractors and vendors, ensuring quality control and budget adherence.
  • Ability to develop and oversee RFPs, contracts, and project proposals.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Experience working in multi-department environments with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel frequently by car to project sites.

Preferred Certifications:
  • Certifications from The American Institute of Constructors (AIC) or Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) are valuable.
  • Additional industry certifications and licensing may be required depending on project scope.
