Are you an experienced AV technician who thrives on the road? Our client is seeking a skilled AV Low-Voltage Technician to join their team in the Malta, NY area. Responsibilities of the AV Technician include:
Install, test, label, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems under the guidance of the AV Field Engineer.
Pull and terminate low-voltage cables, including Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a,HDMI, and speaker wire.
Install displays, mounts, equipment racks, projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and more.
Review floor plans, line diagrams, and rack elevations to ensure accurate installations.
Submit daily project status reports to the office.
Interface withcustomers on job sites with professionalism and integrity.
Maintain a clean and organized job site daily and upon project completion.
Work closely with field engineers to support programming and commissioning.
Job Requirements
Qualifications for the AV Low-Voltage Technician:
At least 5 years of experience in AV installation, troubleshooting, and service.
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and other conferencing platforms.
Familiarity with AV industry software platforms.
Strong organizational, proactive, and communication skills.
Ability to lift over 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, and leaning over for extended periods.
Clean driving record and willingness to travel, including weekends and overnight stays.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $27-30/hr.
