A well-established technology services firm near Albany, NY is seeking an experienced Desktop Network Engineer with a strong IT foundation and excellent interpersonal skills. This position requires flexibility, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and occasional after-hours availability. The role combines hands-on desktop support with project-based assignments, offering a dynamic mix of responsibilities.

Responsibilities of the Desktop Network Engineer will include:

• Deliver technical support via phone, remote tools, and onsite visits to a diverse customer base.
• Image, configure, install, and troubleshoot desktop systems.
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Servers (strong server-side expertise required).
• Work with Microsoft Active Directory, including setup and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and support VMware, Proxmox, or comparable virtualization platforms.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions, specifically Veeam.
• Administer O365 environments including tenant setup, migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Support and configure Azure services.
• Implement and maintain desktop management solutions such as ManageEngine Desktop Central or SCCM.
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP knowledge required).
• Maintain thorough documentation of daily work and customer environments.
• Travel to customer sites within the Capital District; occasional equipment transport required.
