Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc., a national mortgage company headquartered in San Diego, California, has an excellent opportunity in Northern California for a Sales Manager working remote for our San Diego, CA (SAN) Branch.
 
Plaza Home Mortgage, Inc. was originally founded in December of 2000 to serve the San Diego area mortgage market. Due to our growth and success, we now have branches throughout the United States and we are continuing to grow and expand in anticipation of market demands. Plaza is privately owned and operates as a full service Mortgage Banker. We originate mortgage loans on both a wholesale and correspondent basis.

PRIMARYPURPOSEOF JOB AND CONTRIBUTION TOORGANIZATION:
This position will oversee the production of all Account Executives assigned, ensuring quality customer service and business knowledge from all Account Executives within their territory, and ensuring monthly production goals are met.
 
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Must comply with all BSA/AML requirements as well as any mandatory changes. The following job functions are not all-inclusive.  The associate will be required to perform other job-related tasks/responsibilities requested by the manager.  Job duties may change as required by needs of company.  Must complete all required industry and compliance training as required by Plaza Home Mortgage.
 
  1. Oversees all sales activity and performance within assigned region in collaboration with Regional Vice President.
  2. Assist in the review of loan packages if needed to ensure compliance with underwriting standards.
  3. Answer Account Executive inquiries regarding policy and procedure
  4. Assist in the development of new marketing opportunities
  5. Ensure Account Executives are gathering all applicable financials, resumes, licenses, and contract documentation for submission to senior management.
  6. Maintain contact with client base as a quality control measure
  7. Monitor Account Executive production and business growth
  8. Provide training for and conduct informational meetings with Account Executives
  9. Maintain familiarity with the applicable state licensing requirements.

Job Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent witha college degree preferred. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of threetofive years of experience in loan origination overseeing a Sales Team with atrackrecord of success inthe mortgage industry, and have the ability to lead and motivate staff. Additionalqualifications required include excellent oraland written communication skills, strongpresentation skills, the ability to effectively interact with all branch and company personnel as well as brokers, exceptional attention to detail, theability to manage time and prioritize work, a solid commitment to customer service with excellent client relations skills, and analytical ability with an aptitude for figures. Position also requires intermediate knowledge of computer systems including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Candidate must possess asolid understanding of wholesale loan origination, underwriting processes and procedures, and mortgage industry standards.
