Details:

Under supervision of the Administrator of Residential Services, the Assistant Program Director ensures quality care and oversees the functions of the Promesa Community Residence Apartment Treatment Program according to NYSOMH regulatory and accreditation requirements.  This individual is responsible for the oversight and implementation of care and resources for the purpose of meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of patients and/or clients. The Sr. Administrator provides supervision to the intake services and works with the Assistant Program Directors to develop, implement, track, report, and evaluate measurable outcomes.

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                           
 
  • Plan, develop and monitor day-to-day operations for the licensed community residential program services
  • Hire and provide leadership, guidance, direction, and supervision to all staff including administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of services plans and summary notes 
  • Participate in program evaluation activities and deliver (or learn to deliver) services using evidenced-based practices.
  • Review the completion and appropriateness of all intake documentation, including patient health history, drug abuse history and previous treatment failures.
  • Review and approval of initial needs assessment and initial treatment plans.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and City regulatory requirements and ensures that all aspects of clinical care conforms to these requirements.
  • Conduct client intake screenings.
  • Ensure restorative services occur in a timely manner.
  • Implement necessary systems in compliance with NYS OMH and certification requirements.
  • Establish and foster community/provider relationships.
  • Oversee billing process.
  • Participate in agency management and planning activities.


 
 
REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                                 
 
  • Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against covid-19
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology or related fields required.
  • Desire to provide quality mental health services and to develop the administrative and clinical staff in a well-managed mental health care facility
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare preferred
  • An understanding of funding and industry regulations and a track record of meeting compliance standards
  • Strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment
  • Ability to multitask and to work and function under pressure
