Details:

Under the general direction of the Headstart Directors, the Family Workers (ACDP) has the responsibility for planning, organizing, and implementing the Family and Community Partnership service area.  Recruits and enrolls children. Develops and implements individualized Family Partnerships agreements with parents. Acts as community liaison for the agency.            
                                                                     
  1. Works with the family on an ongoing bases to help them meet goals for the family
  2. Recruits and enrolls the program
  3. Parent Committee       
 
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                                      
  • Assist the directors in recruiting and enrolling children into the program
  • Assure all enrollment papers are completed correctly.  Score the applications to assure qualifying for the 
  • Head Start Program.
  • Complete Family Partnerships with each new family and meet with families quarterly to update.
  • Set goals with each family during this process.  Check in to see their progress
  • Work with families during crisis time to help them through
  • Organize workshops on topics families request and Head Start mandated 4.
  • Help with classroom elections and and meetings.  Help train parents to run them.
  • Act as substitute teacher when necessary.
  • Help with breaks if necessary
  • Organize children's files and medical book.  Make sure medicals, dentals, and 318ks are current
  • Help parents through the evaluation process from request through the CPSE meeting and therapy beginning
  • Be an advocate for all families
  • Monthly reports with attendance, workshops, and special events from the prior mont
  • Enter attendance on WES
  • Enter new children into SHINE
  • Any other task assigned to you by the supervisor
  • Assist the directors in recruiting and enrolling children into the program

  • Head Start Program.

REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                              
  • Fully Vaccinated against covid-19
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • CDA/AA preferred
