Under the supervision of the Project Director the Licensed Program Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision to all clinical staff hired under the PIPBHC grant assigned to work in the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program. The Licensed Program Supervisor will ensure that every MAT client is offered an opportunity to participate in the PIPBHC services.  Licensed Program Supervisor will ensure that all tracking paperwork is completed and meeting the required standards of care.  He/she ensures strengths based, person centered care is provided in a culturally and linguistically meaningful therapeutic environment. The Licensed Program Supervisor overseeing the timeliness and quality of a staff member's clinical work. The Licensed Program Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the quality of client case record reviews, performance development and effectiveness in providing quality care services.  This position is located in Brooklyn NY
 
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                                                                                                             
 


  • Oversee the day to day delivery of the PIPBHC grant project clinical services, establishing effective and efficient operations in accordance with agency standards
  • Provides administrative back-up for the Project Director as needed
  • Provide oversight to the implementation of integrated care services for the PIPBHC grant project 
  • Provide oversight to the program staff engaged in PIPBHC grant project 
  • Assist with identifying and developing strategies to increase participation in the PIPBHC grant project as well as clinical outcomes  
  • Provide clinical supervision, manage the hiring process, orientation, training, and total performance management, ensuring the provision of comprehensive and integrated services 
  • Ensuring that agency Policies and Procedures are implemented and followed in accordance with agency Mission 
  • Supervise and coordinate clinical staff and workflow; including delegating assignments and monitoring effectiveness to ensure best practices within the PIPBHC grant project
  • Provides staff training to PIPBHC grant personnel and ensures integration of evidence-based practices and professional development
  • Manage the staffing requirements for the PIPHBC grant, including evaluating staffing needs and participating in the hiring process
  • Provide caseload coverage in the absence of social worker and CASAC staff
  • Concurrently monitors the quality of patient treatment and reporting documentation in all systems and initiates prompt corrective actions, if required
  • Ensure staff maintains all patient confidentiality and privacy guidelines as guided by HIPPA, 42 CFR Part 2, OASAS, and Joint Commission Standards 
  • Manage quality of care services by facilitating clinical case conference meetings as necessary, with a focus on case analysis, person-centered treatment planning, and case management 
  • Ability to lead staff meetings, manage client behavioral concerns and grievances
  • Monitor high risk cases and provide clinical recommendations on evidenced-based interventions and practices
  • Prepare and implement clinical staff work schedules to ensure compliance and fiscal efficiency
  • Review and report on documentation compliance with a goal of maintaining 100% compliance
  • Maintains proficiencies in the understanding and operations of agency EHR i.e. Nextgen and AVATAR 
  • Provide counsel and expert advice to the Project Director and other staff for quality and performance improvement
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as per PIPBHC grant, OASAS and Center for Addiction mandates
 
 
REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                     
 
  • 3+ years previous relevant work experience in the chemical dependence or behavior health field of which one year must be supervisory
  • Must be a Qualified Health Professional (QHP) such as LMSW, LMHC, LCSW or Advanced CASAC
  • Must possess or complete OASAS required training (MAT, Ethics and Confidentiality) in 6 months of employment
  • Must possess or complete OASAS required training, Clinical Supervision I & II (30 hours) in 6 months of employment
  • Must exercise good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion
  • Must be able to multitask with strong organizational skills
  • Must be efficient have good time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form

  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in an organizational setting and understands how to utilize the chain of command to resolve problems and bring program development ideas forward. 
  • Knowledge of APG and ICD-10 billing codes in conjunction with DSM-V diagnosis codes
