Job Summary:

Original Rock Designs, Inc is seeking a skilled Mason/Brick, Block, Stone Layer to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, or stones according to blueprints and specifications. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

 
 

Responsibilities:
  • Lay bricks, blocks, or stones according to blueprints, plans, or specifications.
  • Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto a slab or foundation to prepare for the installation of bricks, blocks, or stones.
  • Cut or saw bricks, blocks, or stones to the required size using hand or power tools.
  • Align and position bricks, blocks, or stones in the desired pattern or sequence, ensuring proper spacing and alignment.
  • Apply mortar or grout between joints and remove excess material to create a smooth and even surface.
  • Build corners or curved walls using specialized techniques and tools.
  • Repair or replace damaged bricks, blocks, or stones as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a brick layer or mason.
  • Proficiency in laying bricks, blocks, or stones according to blueprints, plans, or specifications.
  • Ability to mix mortar or grout and spread it evenly onto surfaces.
  • Knowledge of cutting and sawing techniques for bricks, blocks, or stones.
  • Skill in aligning and positioning materials to create desired patterns or sequences.
  • Experience in applying mortar or grout between joints and removing excess material.
  • Familiarity with building corners or curved walls using specialized techniques.
  • Capability to repair or replace damaged bricks, blocks, or stones.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
