    Full Job Description

    K-Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Crew Foreman to oversee and lead the installation of flatwork, slabs, and insulated concrete forms. As a Foreman, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, an eye for detail, and the ability to motivate and guide your crew to achieve project goals on time and within budget.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Oversee the team and installation of flatwork, slabs, and insulated concrete forms, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
    • Lead, manage, and develop a crew of laborers and skilled workers to ensure the successful completion of tasks.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and construction documents to guide the crew in meeting customer and project expectations.
    • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
    • Communicate daily with the Project Manager or Site Supervisor regarding project progress, materials, and any concerns.
    • Plan and delegate tasks to the crew to ensure efficient use of manpower and resources.
    • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, including holding daily safety meetings and ensuring proper use of equipment.
    • Conduct daily inspections of worksites, tools, and materials to maintain organization and minimize delays.
    • Provide hands-on leadership by assisting with carpentry and other construction tasks as needed.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges that arise on-site, coordinating with other trades and subcontractors as necessary.
    • Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring that all materials and tools are properly stored and accounted for.
    • Mentor and train crew members, providing guidance to improve skills and promote career growth.

    The ideal candidate should possess:
    • 5+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on flatwork, slabs, and insulated concrete forms.
    • Proven leadership experience as a Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and contracts.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.
    • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction.
    • Ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions quickly and efficiently.
    • Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship.
