B&M Electric, a recognized leader in the electrical services industry, is on the lookout for an experienced Service Manager to lead our service department. This pivotal role is centered around managing a team of skilled service advisors and technicians, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering unmatched customer service. Your expertise in electrical repair, coupled with a strong sales acumen and a comprehensive background in electrical codes and permitting, will drive the success and efficiency of our service operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring smooth workflows and high standards of service delivery.
  • Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of service advisors and technicians, fostering a high-performance work environment.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional service and swift resolution of any issues.
  • Scheduling and Materials: Efficiently manage scheduling and material logistics to support project timelines and budgeting.
  • Sales and Budgeting: Monitor sales revenue and project budgets, driving revenue through efficient process implementation and system management.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training for technicians to ensure compliance with current electrical codes and best practices.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse operations and material inventory to ensure efficient resource allocation.

The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Experience: 15+ years in the trades with a strong focus on electrical systems, including significant experience managing a service department and working on a sales team.
  • Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of electrical repair and maintenance procedures, including journeyman electrical experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and effectively upsell services.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Customer Service: Commitment to providing high-quality customer service and aligning services with customer needs.

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday 8:00 - 5:00pm

Work Location:
  • Torrance, CA 90503 - Pick up and Drop Work Truck
  • South Bay and Surrounding areas
