ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Revenue to drive our company's growth and expansion efforts. As the Director of Revenue, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will play a critical role in expanding our market presence, increasing revenue, and driving overall business success.
The Director of Revenue is responsible for managing and growing expansion efforts by increasing product volume through, adding new distribution partnerships in new channels of business, retail and wholesale points of distribution, establishing relationships with our retail and wholesale partners and their staff in those channels; including but not limited to business owners, category buyers, their sales reps etc. to provide them with valuable insights about the industry / category, our leading innovative products, consumer profiles/trends to consistently exceed their expectations in our knowledge and attentiveness to their overall business needs and the growth of their overall business in that new category. As a Director of Revenue for our company, you will take ownership of the assigned new channels of business and be a proactive, valued member of the team covering all aspects of managing current business in the market, prospecting for and discovering new growth opportunities in the market, as well as gaining category and product insights to grow the overall business in the market and the company.
We're looking for someone who thrives in an energetic, creative, and innovative environment. This person will educate retailers, distribution partners and interact with our adult consumers in a "1 on 1" manner with the purpose of gaining trial of our products ('bottles in bellies') to drive retailer, consumer, and influencer engagement and advocacy.
Build and manage deep relationships with distribution partners by providing expertise and knowledge of the industry, retail strategies and sales tactics.
Identify and leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client accounts to maximize revenue potential.
Develop and present strategy, forecasting and business plans for weekly meetings with leadership, sales and finance.
Oversee the wholesale and distribution sales while reviewing and authorizing every order and invoice submitted
Manage month end reports, including commissions and rebates
Execute sales strategies with the goal of growing product(s) sales volume, increasing points of distribution, and new doors selling.
Develop customer relationships through category, product and financial awareness and education to drive adult consumers awareness, trial, and usage.
Plan, organize, and execute sales strategies and territory plans.
Develop SWOT and territory analysis and execute sales strategies against analysis with data driven decision making.
Utilize sales technology, especially CRM (HubSpot), to identify, analyze and act upon leads, opportunities, sales funnels, customer data.
Create and achieve KPIs and goals based on forecasting and company budget.
Engage in product training, demos, consumer awareness, and branding initiatives.
Drive growth of the business by opening new retail points of distribution.
Drive retailer engagement and improve retailer satisfaction and advocacy.
Assess both successes and failures with actionable plans for continuous improvement.
Conduct market research to identify potential target markets and industries for business expansion.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders through regular communication and engagement.
Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and competitors to provide insights and recommendations for business growth.
Provide accurate and timely sales reports, inventory forecasts, and performance metrics to management.
Check orders for profitability and adherence to sales guidelines
Manage all customer AR debt and collections.
Represent the organization at trade shows and special events
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10-12 years of experience working with two or more of the following channels of business: fitness, on-premise, large format, mass merchandise, drug stores.
Experience in CPG, Spirits, Tobacco and/or consumer electronics a plus
Experience in C-store, food service and or supplement distribution a plus
Able to make data driven decisions
Proficiency, and aptitude of basic computer skills, and CRM software.
Proficiency with and willingness to learn new sales technology and data analytics.
The ability to take initiative and be creative, while simultaneously taking direction.
Willingness to learn and grow personally and professionally.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing market dynamics and industry trends.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
