This key leadership role is in a high-growth, high-energy, high-profit portfolio company of big thinkers and big doers. It is a CPG / beverage / dietary supplement company with a history of strong profitable growth as the number one product and brand in its emerging category. Through its expanding sales and distribution network, they are building a team to take current and new products to the global market and achieve exponential growth. With the leadership team formed, the opportunity is now to define and refine the cross functional integrated strategy and lead the team to grow revenue 10x-100x, enabling a highly lucrative exit.  


We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Creative and Content with an impressive portfolio of multi-brand development, cross media campaigns, and content strategies for hyper-growth companies or start-ups that have scaled a CPG brand to success. The VP will not only bring ideas to the table but ensure that ideas are brought to life through compelling content, visuals, videos, and storytelling to drive the growth of our brands, enhance revenue streams, and maximize profitability.  You will also play a key role in positioning the company for a strategic exit at a multi-billion dollar valuation.

This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be responsible for driving innovation, revolutionizing our creative and content strategy, and building our brands across multiple channels.  Our ideal candidate is passionate about building a best-in-class creative studio, creating first-of-its-kind work in the CPG space, and inspiring greatness by leading a team to elevate our brand through creative excellence and innovation.

Strategic Leadership

  • Own, define and evolve the company's brand look and feel, including messaging frameworks and standards across our channels to drive growth and profitability; collaborate with key stakeholders on brand architecture and strategy, and ensure that all channels and departments are working toward the same brand vision with our brand personality consistently displayed in everything we do.
  • Hire, lead and inspire a team of talented designers and other creative professionals from inception to execution and ensure brand consistency across all creative deliverables. 
  • Leads brainstorming, strategizing and presenting creative plans to senior leadership team, while ensuring the final creative product is of the highest standard, optimized to achieve marketing goals.

Campaigns & Product Launches

  • Build dynamic campaigns to support product launch and promotions across brand touchpoints, including but not limited to print, social, digital, social and video.
  • Lead, develop, implement and maintain a creative and content strategy using innovative and captivating concepts for integrated campaigns on behalf of our brand that aligns with our mission, impact and core values.
  • Manage the end-to-end production process, from ideation to final delivery, while adhering to timelines, priorities and budgets.

Content & Social

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy that includes compelling storytelling to engage with our target audiences in unique ways.
  • Serve as the key creative lead, editing all output and setting the bar for innovative creative work.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to find innovative creative uses for social media platforms.  Guide production and workflow against marketing projects.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of brand initiatives and campaigns.  
  • Stay ahead of design trends and identify new technologies to integrate into our creative process.

Job Requirements



  • 10+ years of progressive creative experience within CPG environment.  Strong preference for experience in regulated industries: cannabis, alcohol, pharmaceutical or dietary supplements.
  • 5+ years managing agile creative teams.
  • Proven background in designing high-quality content for premium brands with a strong portfolio showcasing visual and interactive design work.
  • Experience with brand positioning, brand messaging and marketing communications with the ability to drive, implement and commercialize the brand strategy, with a track record of driving profitable growth..
  • Strong intellectual horsepower, a drive for business results, and a behavioral profile that advances the business through high collaboration, cross functional business teams, and active participation.
  • Proven ability to work within a founder driven/growth oriented organization.
  • Hands-on experience with website design principles and UX best practices along with a strong understanding of branding principles and brand storytelling.
  • Ability to oversee and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • University, Bachelor's, or MBA degree in a Business oriented field with a major in Marketing or a related business discipline.
