Job Description

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level Senior Project Manager with 5-10 years of experience in Transportation and/or Storm Water Engineering. This role involves working with senior project managers on municipal and other public work projects.

 

Must Have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in Transportation or Water Resources Engineering (Stormwater/Drainage).
  • Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana required.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Technical Skills: Ability to use AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and state government regulations and standards.
  • Leadership Potential: Consideration for candidates at the Project Manager level.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Calculations:
    • Perform quantity calculations and design computations.
    • Engage in the geometric design of transportation infrastructure.
    • Conduct roadway design and follow INDOT processes and procedures.
    • Design traffic signals and lighting.
    • Carry out drainage design, pipe sizing, inlet spacing, culvert design, and permitting.
    • Coordinate with utility companies.
  • Construction Oversight:
    • Observe and monitor construction to ensure conformance with contract documents and approved shop drawings/material submittals.
    • Record field observations, monitor contractor's quality control, and verify construction conforms to the contractor's quality control plan.
    • Take field measurements, perform computations, and record acceptable work.
    • Prepare and maintain project records in accordance with company, client, and government standards.


Hours/Remote

This is a first shift position and our client has flex time (start sometime between 7AM-9AM) and this position will typically work 40-50 hours a week.
