Position Summary:
Joining our Laboratory Services Department at Plaza Del Sol Health Center, the Phlebotomist (Certified Phlebotomy Technician) will obtain quality blood specimens to support the production of clinical laboratory results for our patients at Plaza del Sol in Corona, Queens.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Nationally Certified Phlebotomy Technician, required.
- Bilingual Spanish/English, required.
- High School Diploma, required.
- 0-1 year of related phlebotomy experience highly preferred.
- Understanding of safety rules and regulations.
- Flexible work schedule required.
Key Duties:
- Performs laboratory tests as ordered by provider.
- Draws blood, collects specimens, and transmits orders.
- Prepares specimens for pickup, in accordance with National Patient Safety guidelines.
- Utilizes appropriate needle precautions.
- Ensures appropriate OSHA standards.
- Ensures safety and confidentiality in the performance of duties.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $23.00 per hour; Maximum $23.00 per hour

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Position will be based out of our Corona, Queens Family Health Center, Plaza Del Sol. Must have an open and flexible schedule to work 5 day shift assignments that fall within the clinical hours of Mondays through Saturdays 7am-5:30pm. Saturday shifts are rotating.
