Position Summary:
As the Director of ParkTree Community Health Center you will provide the community with essential and cost-effective primary care and manage a team of dedicated professionals. The Directorship is accountable for the operational oversight of the health center. ParkTree, based in the Bronx, NY is an outpatient family medicine practice comprehensive primary care and sub-specialty services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field of study is required.
- 2-5 years of previous administrative/operational experience in a health care setting, including 1-2 years of experience directly managing employees (e.g. supervision, schedules, performance, hiring, employee relations, etc.).
- Track record of success of working with medical providers, clinical staff, and administrative staff.
- Advanced knowledge of electronic medical records.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
Key Duties:
- Work collaboratively with clinical, operations, information technology and other departments to coordinate clinical business, accomplish directives, minimize risk, ensure safety and facilitate the resolution of problems.
- Directly manage onsite employees including hiring, coaching, supervising, performance management, employee relations, etc.
- Provide support to onsite medical providers with scheduling/template needs, troubleshooting and managing non-clinical needs.
- Ensure safe and efficient delivery of services by achieving high standards of health and safety, manage risk and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the seven management plans in environment of care.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal customers and external customers to facilitate constructive interactions with individuals and groups.
- Monitors patient satisfaction and investigates all patients complaints as stipulated by Urban Health Plan policies and procedures.
- Develop operating policies and procedures for the site, conduct meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices; implement new policies and keep associates abreast of current changes and standard; as well as maintain sufficient flow of work by evaluating efficiency and performance.
- Support executive team in managing the service budget by applying the principles of sound financial practice necessary to operate the site within defined budget limits by determining fiscal requirements, make projections and prepare the Health Center's budget; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds; ensure compliance with Urban Health Plan policies and procedures.
- Drives strategic direction, priorities and plans for the service in line with service and organization priorities by anticipating and managing trends and changes in the operating environment and plan to meet these changes in order to provide best value for users.
- Ensure adequate inventories of supplies and materials, and that all equipment is maintained in working order.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $70,000/annum; Maximum $85,000/annum continent on level of supervisory experience and education.
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Onsite, Bronx, NY, Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
