Position Summary:
Joining our Supply Chain Department, the Business Center Associate is responsible for the functions provided through the Business Center. This includes the processing of internal and external mail and fax communications. The BCA will also provide support to all departments requesting large printing and laminating requests.
This role requires driving company vans across multiple sites.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of experience working in mailing/mailroom, business center, warehouse processing.
- NYS Valid Driver's License with no limitations and ability to drive company van.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and established office skills including scanning, faxing, printing, and data entry.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- NYS Defensive Driving course completed previously (or upon hire).
Primary Duties:
- Deliver and pickup mail from the post office and UHP Sites by using UHP's Mail Service vehicle.
- Process incoming mail as per the Mail Services Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure outgoing mail requiring regular postage is prepared and ready for pick up by the mail courier service.
- Provide sender the information of certified mail with special handling for future follow up.
- Ensure services provided through the Business Center are processed in a timely manner with the appropriate
- Ensure incoming faxes are distributed to the appropriate site/department or associate
- Maintain the mail service vehicle and equipment in the Business Center. Ensure Manage the mail supply inventory.
- Obey speed rules and parking regulations and avoid traffic summons while operating the UHP mail service vehicle.
- Immediately report any violations or accidents to the Director of Procurement.
- Maintain a pleasant and helpful attitude and ensure a clean and hazard free work environment.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $20.00 per hour; Maximum $20.00 per hour

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
This is a fully onsite role based in the Bronx, NY requiring a commitment of Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.
