Position Summary:
We are currently hiring a temporary bilingual English/Spanish/Bengali Nationally Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to work in our Bronx-based family medicine practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Training School and National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Bilingual Spanish/English/Bengali required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Computer literacy.
- Responsible individual who genuinely wants to support our patients.
Key Duties:
- Process blood draws, collects specimens and processes lab orders.
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment.
- Obtain vital signs, chief complaints, medical history and accurately records in medical records.
- Completes referrals and discharges patients.
- Assists providers and nurses during all aspects of exams.
- Assist provider with treatments
- Schedules for appointments, verify insurance and demographic information.
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $21.00/hour; Maximum: $21.00/hour
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Applicants must be comfortable working onsite, based out of The Bronx and have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The duration of temporary assignment will be 3 to 6 months. After completion of assignment, you have the opportunity to apply to open permanent roles.
