Position Summary:
The Outreach & Enrollment Specialist will assist consumers to navigate the healthcare system by providing direct support with health insurance enrollment, coverage navigation,
access-to-care guidance, social support referrals and all post enrollment needs. Associate will be a resource to help clients understand, maintain health coverage and connect to care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- 1-2 years of previous experience as Facilitated Enroller, IPA Navigator, or other enrollment-based health care positions is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of Affordable Care Act.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with data entry.
Key Duties:
- Assist consumers to enroll in health insurance programs either directly or by referral.
- Provide post enrollment assistance to help consumers keep their coverage and navigate the health care system.
- Educate consumers about their insurance rights and responsibilities through outreach and presentations
- Attend all applicable trainings and complete required reports.
- Help consumers address social support and other healthcare needs by referring them to programs.
Starting Compensation: Minimum $50,000.00 per year; Maximum $50,000.00 per year

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Applicants must be comfortable working onsite, based out of the Bronx and have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional Saturdays as needed. Must be comfortable providing coverage at UHP sites including occasional coverage in Corona Queens and Central Harlem as needed.
