The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a key member of the HR Department who is tasked with utilizing their expertise to drive the recruitment of organizational requisitions and to support managers with identifying qualified applicants who fit organizational values and departmental needs.

This is a hybrid position based in the Bronx. 

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Communications, or related field of study is required.
  • 2-3 years of in-house recruitment expertise is required.
  • A go-getter and someone that is friendly, kind, honest, and creative is required to thrive in this position.
  • Previous experience in talent acquisition within healthcare and/or non-profit is a huge benefit.
  • Previous experience utilizing ATS software is essential.
  • You must know your way around Microsoft Excel and have the ability to constantly manage and update data.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, timelines, and manage hiring processes at a variety of stages.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is beneficial in this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range is $67,750-$71,000 based on 35 regular hours per week.

Key Duties Include:
  • Posts positions on job boards, sources candidates, leverages partnerships with colleges, trade schools, CBOs, professional networks, and other sources with a goal of effectively marketing and attracting new talent to the organization and amplifying our reach.
  • Builds rapport with organizational hiring managers to understand business needs, whilst submitting prospective candidates and summaries to review; Scheduling interviews in a timely manner and providing managers with feedback and updates as related to the recruitment effort.
  • From beginning to end of the recruitment lifecycle- ensures that candidates and prospective incumbents receive quality candidates experience whether they are hired or not selected.
  • Maintains regular, accurate, valid, and timely data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Ensuring that all candidate's related dispositions are updated on a live basis, dates of activity are accurate, rejection letters are sent (If applicable), and that job listings are a true reflection of open requisitions and closing/refreshing advertisements as necessary.
  • Drafts and issues offer of employment, ensuring that offers provide accurate salary, hours, classifications, time off, and benefits listings in accordance with HR policy and procedure manual.
  • Collaborates within the team and other contributors to the hiring processes to ensure that incoming hires follow all regulatory and organizational requirements and troubleshoot any issues or concerns that may occur in between the final interview and the start date.
  • Provides training during new associate orientation and supports new associates on day 1 with completion of USCIS requirements, including the processing of E-Verifies for new hires. Supports manages with training/refresh training on TA procedures and best practices related to behavioral based interview techniques.
  • Works on special projects for the team and special initiatives assigned which may include and are not limited to special hiring events, developing TA strategy and procedures, and supporting HR with special events.
  • Employs creativity, new approaches, and comes with ideas and plans to support ongoing quality improvement of Talent Acquisition and the department, overall.
  • Contributes towards ongoing data updates and weekly/monthly reports which include and are not limited to weekly recruitment standings, monthly HR dashboard, vacancy/position control logs.
  • Anticipates trends in hiring needs for the organization and builds pipeline candidates in advance of needs.
  • Supports HR department with other broad HR duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
