Position Summary:
We are currently recruiting a new Manager for our Specialty Department and in anticipation of the opening of our new Plaza San Juan site which will be UHP's hub for our multi-specialty providers. Reporting to the Administrator of Plaza San Juan, the Manager will directly manage people, processes, and programs within the site.

The manager will assist with the operational management of the day-to-day functions of the facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the organization.

Full Time Schedule- Tuesday through Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm. 

Key Duties:
  • Ensures successful operations including and not limited to registration, patient flow, discharge.
  • Directly manages specified employees in the department, providing them with leadership, guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Helps to maintain staffing schedules, provider templates, and other monthly planning.
  • Participates in interviews, hiring, and all HR-related needs (performance management, employee relations, coaching).
  • Serves as the Saturday administrator of the site.
  • Takes ownership of the payroll functions for all associates in the department including timesheet reviews, assessing corrections, and processing weekly payrolls.
  • Record and follow-up on patient grievances and provide updates to the administrator
  • Perform weekly inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.
  • Identify and report daily operational issues including but not limited to staff and/or provider coverage and equipment malfunction.
  • Ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are on hand to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the organization.
  • Ensure that the facilities are maintained in a clean and safe manner for patients and staff.
  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of special projects.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or other related field of study required.
  • 5 years of experience working in the healthcare sector in an operations position, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as a manager with direct reports and clear supervisory responsibilities.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • Proven record and abilities focused on electronic health records.
  • Excellent communicator and motivator.
 
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $70,000 per annum; Maximum: $85,000 per annum.
