Position Summary:
The Patient Financial Services Manager supervises the Patient Financial Counselors and indirectly oversees the front desk staff and lobby staff in conjunction with their site directors and managers.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred. 
  • 5+ years of experience in with patient financial services
  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity required. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Familiarity with sliding fee policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as provide quality services to patients. 
Key Duties:
  • Responsible for holding monthly meetings with PSRs, Cash Collection, Patient Financial Counselors, Lobby Concierge and Managed Care Departments.
  • Responsible for New Associate Orientation Training Program for PSRs, Cash Collection, Patient Financial Counselors, Lobby Concierge and Managed Care Departments.
  • Responsible for Sliding Fee Discount Schedule Program, assuring that all sliding fee policies and procedures are properly adhered to by PSR/Cash collection associates and Finance staff including the updating of the fee schedule, documenting annual recertification processes.
  • Works with Billing and Collection units to assure that revenue is maximized by decreasing denials and increasing cash collection rates.
  • Communicates all insurance and/or system changes to appropriate staff.
  • Works with site directors, department managers and executive management to address challenges and complaints.
  • Promotes excellence in customer service and engages associates to achieve peak performance.
 
Starting Compensation: Minimum: $65,000 annually; Maximum: $70,000 annually. Depending on level of completed education and experience.

Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
This position is considered Intermittent Hybrid - must be comfortable working from home and onsite as needed. 

This position will require a schedule of Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
