Position Summary
This position is for an Resident Electrical Engineer who will provide technical support to construction for electrical systems associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase. Must be a self starter and capable of independent creative solutions, with direction, using Bechtel and industry proven concepts and procedures.
Responsibilities
As Resident Engineering Electrical Engineer, primary engineering activities will be to provide technical support to construction in their completion of the installation of electrical materials and equipment. Contribute directly to the installation and construction of electrical systems and equipment for the entire facility per approved design. Support work may include the use of SETROUTE, Revit and ETAP for the design. Individual must have an understanding of electrical discipline drawings such as wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, system calculations, single line diagrams, schematics, and electrical equipment and raceway layout drawings. Other responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Provide technical support to construction in the completion of the electrical materials and equipment.
Work with project office electrical engineers and designers.
Properly interprets and applies codes & standards and customer design requirements, for applicability to electrical design documents.
Prepare design solutions for quick resolution of FCDs.
Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.
Coordinate closely with other disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.
Ability to cope with conflicting deadlines, frequent interruptions and multiple tasks.
