Are you passionate about technology and driven by the challenge of optimizing IT infrastructure? Our client is seeking a talented IT Manager to join their dynamic team! This is a full-time onsite opportunity located in the Muttontown NY area.
Responsibilities of the IT Manager will include:
Troubleshoot, support, and deploy functional LAN, WLAN, and WAN networks
Maintain switches, firewalls, and all network equipment
Configure and install software on servers, monitor network and server performance
Act as escalation point for all levels of support, including Desktop PC user support
Maintain documentation for network and servers; manage Vendor Support contracts
Serve as cybersecurity liaison with vendors; ensure data backup and recovery
Design infrastructure solutions, manage deployment, maintenance, and upgrade paths
Maintain Business Continuity plans and systems; contribute to service quality
Support team in critical incidents; assist with IT projects as needed
Develop infrastructure roadmap for current needs and future scalability
Supervise, train, and evaluate team members; participate in hiring and retention
Establish positive relationships with stakeholders; ensure timely documentation
Communicate respectfully with all parties; uphold confidentiality policies
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the IT Manager:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years of work experience in related field
Proficient with Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent network hardware and technology equipment
Strongly preferred knowledge in CrowdStrike, Barracuda, and Veeam
Experience in Office 365 administration
Azure setup, configuration, and administration skills
Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems
Design experience with VMware
Familiarity with Dell or equivalent server systems
Knowledge of SAN solutions
Competency in Active Directory management
Understanding of fundamental computer architecture, networking, virtualization, storage, and operating system concepts
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and proactive communication
Efficient, well-organized, with excellent communication skills
Ability to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in operating standard office equipment
Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly up to $105,000.
