Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer include:
Work under the guidance of a senior engineer to provide technical design and construction documents for commercial building power, lighting, and special systems
Close coordination and collaboration with different design members within the company as well as architects, owners, and facilities staff outside the company
Perform power and lighting load calculations using applicable computer software
Perform selective coordination, short circuit, and arc fault calculations
Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment
Create highly coordinated construction documents using 3D Revit MEP
Construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, construction inspections and field troubleshooting
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a related field
2-5 years' experience in electrical design
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience in Revit MEP a plus
PE license a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organized and self-motivated individual
Detail oriented and deadline driven
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $110,000 to $130,000.
