Responsibilities of the Service Manager will include:
  • Utilize commercial/industrial experience to maintain and repair building mechanical equipment such as boilers, burners, controls, chillers, air handlers, and piping systems.
  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and efficiently address customer needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate reliability and honesty in all aspects of work, fostering trust and confidence among colleagues and clients.
  • Embrace a customer-focused approach, striving to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional service.

Job Requirements

 

Qualifications of the Service Manager:
  • Knowledge of boilers, burners, mechanical room design, layout, and purpose.
  • Engineering background preferred, especially in commercial/industrial boilers and boiler room accessories.
  • Experience with boilers and commercial mechanical rooms, including identifying potential customers, generating targeted proposals, managing estimates, and servicing existing customers.
  • Ability to interpret and apply applicable codes and standards.
  • Highly organized with strong scheduling and logistics skills.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Computer literate, proficient with the Microsoft platform.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent technical and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Comfortable multitasking and setting work priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 to $100,000.
