Our client is currently seeking Founding Engineer- Sr. Backend Engineer to be a part of an exciting growth opportunity, Full time, REMOTE!
Responsibilities of the Founding Engineer- Sr. Backend Engineer will include:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for our SaaS platform.
Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable and reliable multi-tenant applications on AWS, utilizing services like DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/Kubernetes, Kinesis/Kafka, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
Implement best practices for security, compliance, and performance optimization within our cloud infrastructure.
Drive automation and efficiency through infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, utilizing Terraform for provisioning and managing resources.
Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and availability.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continually evaluating and integrating new tools and frameworks to enhance our platform.
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Prioritize customer success with a customer-first mindset.
Design and implement integrations with various third-party products and tools, including SIEM vendors, data lake products, and other commonly used systems by customers.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Founding Engineer- Sr. Backend Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based environments, with a strong focus on AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/Kubernetes, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, and Kinesis/Kafka.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Golang, and JavaScript, demonstrating a track record of delivering high-quality code.
Experience in implementing and managing large-scale data pipelines.
Proficient in big data analytics frameworks like Apache Hive, table formats such as Apache Iceberg, and file formats like Apache Parquet.
Proficiency in implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform or similar tools.
Strong understanding of security best practices and principles, with the capability to design and implement secure solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $150,000 - $200,000.
