Our well-established manufacturing client is seeking a Quality Manager to join their growing team! This is a full-time, first shift role near the Albany, NY, area. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience managing quality control in a manufacturing setting.
 
Responsibilities of the Quality Manager will include: 
  • Maintain and enhance quality system, including ISO 9001-2015 certification
  • Supervise quality system, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture focused on quality
  • Coordinate and conduct regular and through quality audits of production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure quality standards are being met
  • Implement lean and continuous improvement principles within the quality process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and root causes of defects
  • Conduct and revise risk assessments
  • Implement risk management strategies to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks
  • Lead corrective and preventative action initiatives to address issues and improve overall product quality
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, and make recommendations to update best practices and improve overall quality management system
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

 
Requisitos

 

Qualifications for the role of Quality Manager: 
  • 3+ years' quality management experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with ISO and/or AS9100 quality systems
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, operations, or a related field
  • A quality certification such as CQA, CQE, CMQ, or CSSBB is preferred, but not required
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, including ISO certification, control plan development, design and process FMEA creation, and KPI management
  • Understanding of demand planning, materials management, and quality assurance systems within a production environment.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean, and/or Six Sigma methodologies as applied to manufacturing, such as value stream mapping
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement and a drive for success
  • Ability to use project management tools and Microsoft Office applications to track progress and manage resources
  • Able to regularly lift or move 10-50 lbs; able to occasionally lift or move 100+ lbs
 
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
