Design Engineer

This is an opportunity to lead and innovate in an industry essential for numerous sectors. Our client is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their engineering department.

Responsibilities of the Design Engineer will include:
  • Develop quality improvement programs and implement innovative production/manufacturing methods.
  • Generate the design and layout for Plant Equipment
  • Work and communicate with fabricators and sub-suppliers to achieve optimum and most cost-effective component design
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors and customers.
  • Know ASME Code Material specification and appropriate use
  • Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
  • The above work will be accomplished in 3D, utilizing SolidWorks software
  • Able to participate in a team environment on assigned projects executing process engineering deliverables.
  • Develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to QA/QC.

 
Requisitos

 

Qualifications of the Design Engineer:
  • Boiler experience highly preferred but could entertain other HVAC related equipment as an extension. 
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis in welding, materials and/or mechanical or industrial disciplines. PhD or licensed PE a positive.
  • Five or more years of related experience, in a manufacturing or production environment, including three years of supervisory/management responsibilities.
  • Ability to lead in a team-based environment.
  • Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Project management skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English, to effectively communicate with clients, manufacturers, and co-workers.
  • Ability to maintain focus.
  • Must be able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to generate and present design equipment review presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Knowledge in MS Office and other MFG. software
  • Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
 
 
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 to $125,000. Plus, an Annual Bonus!
