Responsibilities of the Design Engineer will include:
Develop quality improvement programs and implement innovative production/manufacturing methods.
Generate the design and layout for Plant Equipment
Work and communicate with fabricators and sub-suppliers to achieve optimum and most cost-effective component design
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to work effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors and customers.
Know ASME Code Material specification and appropriate use
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
The above work will be accomplished in 3D, utilizing SolidWorks software
Able to participate in a team environment on assigned projects executing process engineering deliverables.
Develop thorough knowledge of the project scope and schedule as they apply to QA/QC.
Requisitos
Qualifications of the Design Engineer:
Boiler experience highly preferred but could entertain other HVAC related equipment as an extension.
Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis in welding, materials and/or mechanical or industrial disciplines. PhD or licensed PE a positive.
Five or more years of related experience, in a manufacturing or production environment, including three years of supervisory/management responsibilities.
Ability to lead in a team-based environment.
Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Project management skills: ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently
Excellent oral and written communication skills, in English, to effectively communicate with clients, manufacturers, and co-workers.
Ability to maintain focus.
Must be able to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to generate and present design equipment review presentations to both small and large groups.
Knowledge in MS Office and other MFG. software
Efficiently organize and plan work tasks to meet company goals.
Possess excellent organizational and time management skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $80,000 to $125,000. Plus, an Annual Bonus!
