Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
Collaborate in the analysis and reconciliation of balance sheets and financial statements across a diverse portfolio of companies.
Prepare necessary adjusting journal entries to maintain accuracy in financial records.
Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including prepaid, accrued, and intercompany accounts, and create corresponding work papers.
Manage bank reconciliations for various cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support the monthly close process and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
Assist in the annual budget preparation process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee accounts payable function, including processing check runs.
Maintain and manage subcontractor lien waivers as required.
Assist in the preparation of monthly construction draw requests.
Contribute to special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Preferred knowledge of job cost accounting.
Working knowledge of Sage software is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple company general ledgers effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience in property management and construction is desirable.
Familiarity with AIA construction documents is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $75,000 - $95,000, DOE.
