We are currently seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic team near Saratoga Springs, NY. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis for their multiple company operations. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include:
  • Collaborate in the analysis and reconciliation of balance sheets and financial statements across a diverse portfolio of               companies.
  • Prepare necessary adjusting journal entries to maintain accuracy in financial records.
  • Reconcile various general ledger accounts, including prepaid, accrued, and intercompany accounts, and create                         corresponding work papers.
  • Manage bank reconciliations for various cash accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the monthly close process and contribute to the preparation of financial statements.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation process to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee accounts payable function, including processing check runs.
  • Maintain and manage subcontractor lien waivers as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly construction draw requests.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
 

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Preferred knowledge of job cost accounting.
  • Working knowledge of Sage software is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple company general ledgers effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience in property management and construction is desirable.
  • Familiarity with AIA construction documents is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
 
 
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $75,000 - $95,000, DOE.
