We are seeking a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating innovative designs and contributing to the development of various products. Responsibilities of the Junior Design Engineer will include:

  • Generate concept designs, assemblies, layouts, and detailed drawings for a range of products.
  • Conduct form, fit, and function studies to ensure designs meet established requirements.
  • Assist in the drawing and part release processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Develop and adhere to technical project plans, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Participate in design reviews, providing valuable insights and feedback.
  • Prepare technical reports, production engineering documentation, and test data as needed.
  • Manage version control over technical design documents and replicate changes in technical publications.
  • Conduct verification and validation testing of products as required.
  • Develop and deliver monthly project status reports for review by the Engineering Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications of the Junior Design Engineer:

  • Minimum associate degree in engineering technology or related field; bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience using SolidWorks for creating design concepts, assemblies, and layouts.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering fundamentals and machining processes, particularly in a metals manufacturing                     environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SolidWorks Flow Simulation, Simulation, Visualize, or Composer is a plus.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and 3D animation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic, including accountability, integrity, enthusiasm, and motivation.

 

 

Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $45,000 - $55,000.
