We are seeking an Engineering Technician to join our client's dynamic team located near East Greenbush, NY. The ideal candidate will perform reliability testing and mechanical/electrical characterization of systems and components.
Responsibilities of the Engineering Technicianwill include:
Follow written test plans for quality assurance of software on analyzers.
Perform reliability testing and mechanical/electrical characterization of systems and components.
Take detailed notes during testing and summarize testing results in comprehensive reports.
Assemble prototypes, test rigs, and prepare validation samples using mechanical and electrical tools.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Engineering Technician:
Proactive and enthusiastic demeanor, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
Experience as a technician, quality control, or in a similar role.
Knowledge and experience using common hand tools for assembly.
Proficiency in taking written notes during testing, documenting specific issues and resolutions.
Capability to summarize testing results into a concise 1-page report.
Proficient use of Office software, including Email, Word, and basic Excel.
Soldering and PCB repair experience.
Familiarity with a wide variety of power and hand tools.
Experience in Test and Measurement, Component, or System Quality Control.
Strong organizational skills.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $21-$23/hr.
