Our client, located in the Saratoga NY area, is currently seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations to join their leadership team and spearhead the organization's manufacturing operations, providing invaluable manufacturing expertise and visionary leadership. This pivotal role encompasses the leadership of all manufacturing processes, quality improvement initiatives, and the optimization of supply chain and procurement.
Responsibilities of the Director of Manufacturing Operations will include:
Provide comprehensive leadership to the operations team, collaborating with executive leadership to drive missions and goals.
Identify ways to support the organizational mission through manufacturing operations initiatives.
Recruit, develop, and support operations leaders and team members, while acting as a culture champion.
Develop operational metrics, ensuring accountability within the operations team.
Lead the identification and implementation of tools and technology to improve efficiency and support growth, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.
Work with Finance to develop and lead the Operations budget, optimizing the physical plant layout for efficiency.
Oversee and manage the supply chain and procurement team, strengthening key vendor relationships, and collaborating with the sales team on strategic forecasting.
Create initiatives to minimize inventory levels as a key component of the lean transformation, leading the development and implementation of high-quality manufacturing systems and processes.
Lead ISO compliance and recertification initiatives, ensuring consistent and high vendor quality.
Contribute as a strong leader on the executive leadership team.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Director of Manufacturing Operations:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master of Business Administration desirable).
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Director of Operations in a manufacturing environment.
Experience leading a manufacturing company through high growth.
Strong operational understanding in a manufacturing environment.
Analytical, innovative, and critical thinking skills.
Desire to be part of a hardworking, collaborative, fun, and values-driven team.
Proven track record of clear communications with senior leadership and across cross-functional teams.
Data-driven methodology for decision-making using KPIs and metrics.
Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across various functional roles.

Exceptional interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $150,000 - $185,000.
