Are you a meticulous and experienced Rewind Operator looking for a new challenge? Join our client's team and play a vital role in delivering top-quality labels to our customers. As a Rewind Operator, you will be responsible for operating inspection machines, slitters, and rewind tabletop machines to ensure the highest standards of label quality. This is a temp-to-hire position located near Cohoes, NY.
Responsibilities of the Rewind Operator will include:
Adhere to all company and safety policies and procedures.
Thoroughly read job tickets before setting up and operating the machine.
Input job order information into the computer and set machine specifications with precision.
Attach slitting blades to the machine as required.
Inspect labels, remove defects, properly re-splice rolls, and stamp each roll.
Lift orders onto the machine and utilize a strobe light for label inspection.
Follow quality assurance specifications set by customers and client, including handling procedures, paperwork requirements, and
operation of the quality inspection machine.
Complete quality assurance sheets and associated documentation.
Follow established processes and procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of machinery and workspace; perform light maintenance on machinery and slitting blades as needed.
Perform other assigned duties.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Rewind Operator:
Ability to lift up to fifty pounds.
A keen eye for color and strong attention to detail.
Preferred: 3+ years of experience in label rewind machine operation.
Preferred: Prior experience with Rotoflex HSI Series machines or comparable equipment.
Ability to decipher colors accurately.
Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $16.50-$17.50/hr DOE.
