Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Press Operator seeking a new opportunity? Our client, located near Cohoes, NY, is looking to add to their dynamic team as they continue to provide high-quality label printing services to their valued customers. As a Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in the printing process, ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency.  This is a temp-to-hire position.
 
Responsibilities of the Press Operator will include:
  • Operate press and printing equipment under the guidance of the supervisor or cell leader, maintaining accurate production and quality               records.
  • Monitor press output, conduct visual inspections, and identify defects or quality issues.
  • Load and unload paper rolls, mount and shaft rolls, maintain ink levels, colors, and chemistry, making necessary adjustments for proper           registration.
  • Keep materials, tools, and supplies organized and adhere to safety, sanitation, and product safety procedures.
  • Operate all features of press functions efficiently.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications of the Press Operator:
  • Minimum 5 years of flexographic printing press experience.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues, evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, and computers, including design, use, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in mathematical applications, such as measurement and logic.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, working effectively with various professions and personalities.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented with good analytical and communication skills.
  • Physical capability to lift 50-60 pounds, push/roll 300-800 pounds with a pallet jack, and stand for extended periods on varied surfaces.
  • Good manual dexterity for various tasks.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including drug testing.
 
 
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $20-22/hr DOE.
