Assistant Material Handler (Temporary)

Location: Near Amsterdam, NY
Pay Rate: $20 - $22 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable Assistant Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This temporary role plays a key part in ensuring materials are properly received, tracked, and delivered to production areas, helping maintain efficiency across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling & Inventory Support

• Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility using appropriate equipment
• Load, unload, and transport materials between storage and production areas
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with tracking material usage

Receiving & Shipping

• Receive incoming materials, inspect for accuracy and quality, and log into inventory systems
• Package, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment

Inventory Control

• Conduct cycle counts and assist with maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials
• Support proper storage and organization of materials throughout the facility

Collaboration & Process Support

• Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material flow
• Assist with maintaining storage areas and equipment
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste
