Field Services Technician

Location: Near Malta, NY
Pay Rate: Up to $28 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel: Extensive travel required (3–4 overnight stays per week)

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a reliable and hands-on Field Services Technician to support hardware installations and field deployments across multiple customer locations throughout New York State. This role involves traveling to client sites to install, configure, and support IT equipment while ensuring accurate asset tracking and excellent customer service.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, traveling regularly, and providing on-site technical support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Deployment

• Install laptops, desktops, thin clients, monitors, and related peripherals at customer locations
• Perform final system setup and configuration on-site
• Remove and return outdated or surplus equipment as needed

Asset Tracking & Documentation

• Accurately record inventory and asset data during installations
• Complete and submit work orders, time tracking, and expense reports
• Ensure proper documentation for equipment, including warranty details

Customer Support & Coordination

• Serve as a point of contact between internal teams and customer sites
• Provide professional, responsive service during installations and support visits
• Maintain clear communication with project and service teams

Field Operations

• Travel regularly to client sites across the region
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle and equipment inventory
• Follow company procedures and standards for service delivery
