Position Overview
Our growing investment and real estate-focused client is seeking a Corporate Accountant to support its finance team with financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general accounting activities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong compliance with accounting standards.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with financial data in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Assist with preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
Perform variance analysis and identify discrepancies in financial data
Accounting Operations
Complete monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts
Assist with monitoring financial performance against budget targets
Audit & Compliance Support
Help coordinate internal and external audit activities
Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting standards
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and accounting processes
Assist with special projects and additional financial analysis as needed
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
1-3 years of accounting or finance experience
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Preferred:
CPA certification or progress toward certification
Experience in private equity, real estate, or retail-related industries
