Manufacturing / Assembly Technician
📍 Near Troy, New York
💰 Pay Rate: Up to $20/hour
🕒 Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Overtime as needed)

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a dependable Production Assembler to support the production of heavy-duty equipment used in municipal, industrial, and infrastructure applications. This is a full-time, onsite role for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision assembly, and being part of a collaborative shop-floor team.

Position Overview:
The Assembly Technician is responsible for building high-quality fabricated components and finished units according to technical specifications and production schedules. This role supports products engineered to perform in demanding environments and requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble subcomponents and finished units following established work instructions
  • Install seals, gaskets, and sealants according to drawings and specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, 2D CAD drawings, and technical documentation
  • Perform minor fitting and alignment using jigs, fixtures, and templates
  • Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks
  • Prepare materials through grinding, cleaning, and surface preparation
  • Perform product touch-ups to ensure quality standards prior to shipment
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Perform basic tool and equipment maintenance
  • Move materials and finished products using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned

 
Aptitudes Requises

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and basic shop math
  • Experience using common hand and power tools
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Commitment to safety procedures and required PPE
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
