Position Overview

Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide immediate support to a small, collaborative finance team. This role is critical to ensuring continuity during a period of increased workload and will play a key part in month-end close, compliance, and core accounting functions.

Working closely with the Controller and Staff Accountant, the Accountant will handle higher-level accounting activities while remaining flexible and hands-on in a dynamic, non-routine environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
• Ensure strict adherence to established accounting policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Collaborate with shared services teams responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Support audits, internal controls, and documentation requirements
• Assist with financial analysis and reporting as needed
• Step in to support various accounting functions based on shifting priorities
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization
