Position Overview
Our well-established client is seeking an experienced Accountant to provide immediate support to a small, collaborative finance team. This role is critical to ensuring continuity during a period of increased workload and will play a key part in month-end close, compliance, and core accounting functions.
Working closely with the Controller and Staff Accountant, the Accountant will handle higher-level accounting activities while remaining flexible and hands-on in a dynamic, non-routine environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries and support the month-end close process
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy
Ensure strict adherence to established accounting policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with shared services teams responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Support audits, internal controls, and documentation requirements
Assist with financial analysis and reporting as needed
Step in to support various accounting functions based on shifting priorities
Work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization
Requisitos
Qualifications
Strong accounting background with experience supporting month-end close
Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
Experience with ERP systems preferred; Oracle experience a plus but not required
High attention to detail with a strong compliance mindset
Flexible, adaptable approach to work in a changing environment
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
Ability to manage multiple priorities without a highly repetitive daily routine
