Position Overview
Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead and continuously improve all quality systems, processes, and performance across production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products while driving compliance, process efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Quality Assurance Manager works closely with production, leadership, and customers, and plays a key role in shaping quality culture, supporting launches, and maintaining audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
Ensure full compliance with internal standards and customer requirements
Lead internal and external quality audits and ensure audit readiness
Manage and motivate the Quality team, including scheduling, prioritization, and training
Drive corrective and preventive actions using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D)
Monitor and analyze product and process quality performance data
Oversee PPAP activities and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure successful outcomes
Support APQP documentation including process flows, control plans, PFMEAs, and work instructions
Manage document control and quality records
Oversee inspection activities and provide hands-on support when needed
Control and disposition nonconforming materials and manage NCR feedback
Maintain calibration and control of measurement and inspection equipment
Partner with production to support inspection needs and quality decision-making
Lead daily quality representation in operational meetings and update performance metrics
Promote continuous improvement through statistical analysis and data-driven initiatives
Maintain organization and housekeeping standards within quality areas
Be available outside standard hours as needed to support issue resolution
Aptitudes Requises
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within a manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of quality systems, audits, PPAP, APQP, and corrective action processes
Ability to lead, coach, and develop quality personnel
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build effective working relationships
Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment when needed
