Software Solutions Sales Executive

Location: Remote/Hybrid
Location Requirement: Must reside in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, or within 2 hours of Minneapolis, MN
Compensation: $80,000 base salary + commission
Travel: Approximately 25% (overnight travel as needed)

Position Overview

Our growing technology client is seeking a driven Software Solutions Sales Executive to expand its presence within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and software solutions market. This role focuses on new logo acquisition, pipeline development, and revenue growth within an assigned territory.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing software sales professional who thrives on prospecting, consultative selling, and building long-term customer relationships in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

Prospecting & Pipeline Development

  • Identify, engage, and qualify new prospective customers through targeted outreach and calls
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline from initial contact through close
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of all activities, opportunities, and customer interactions

Territory Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute a territory plan aligned with company sales objectives
  • Partner with internal and external sales teams to penetrate targeted accounts
  • Innovate prospecting and sales strategies to grow market share and secure new business

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer challenges and aligning solutions accordingly
  • Deliver compelling value propositions through presentations, demos, and discussions

Sales Execution & Performance

  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly activity metrics and revenue targets
  • Effectively handle objections and close complex sales opportunities
  • Present solutions using CRM, ERP, and standard sales tools

Market Representation

  • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings, competitive landscape, and industry trends
  • Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and virtual or in-person demonstrations
  • Represent the organization professionally within the assigned territory

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate across sales and internal teams to share insights and improve strategies
  • Leverage calls, emails, and virtual meetings to maintain strong activity levels
  • Support additional initiatives and projects as needed

 
Requisitos

 

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 3-5+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in software or technology solutions
  • Proven ability to prospect, develop pipeline, and close new business
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Confident, self-motivated, and results-driven mindset
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and objection-handling abilities
  • Proficiency with CRM and ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently
  • Willingness to travel within the territory and attend after-hours events as needed
