Manufacturing Engineer

📍 Near Bennington, Vermont
💰 Salary: $70,000 - $75,000


Our well established client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve production operations. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with strong manufacturing knowledge, hands-on experience, and the ability to lead process improvements while working efficiently within budget and schedule constraints.

Position Overview:
 The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and cost-effective production. This position works closely with production teams, vendors, and leadership to support both day-to-day operations and longer-term process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine manufacturing processes based on product requirements and production needs
  • Research, design, test, and implement manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment
  • Analyze workflows, floor layout, and equipment utilization to improve efficiency
  • Establish and maintain product and process quality standards, including testing and validation methods
  • Analyze production, labor, and material costs to support manufacturing decisions
  • Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing production data and performance trends
  • Provide technical guidance and manufacturing support to production teams
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair activities to ensure reliable operation
  • Participate in design reviews and support project development
  • Train and mentor technicians as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration

 
Job Requirements

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Strong experience using SOLIDWORKS
  • Solid understanding of welding, metal forming, and machining operations
  • Knowledge of industrial paints and coatings
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
