We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Controller to provide operational leadership and oversee the financial functions of multiple business lines. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and ensuring overall financial health and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate finance, accounting, and property management.
Responsibilities of the Controller will include:
Oversee financial planning and analysis for multiple business divisions, including real estate, construction, property management, and renewable energy.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
Monitor cash flow and provide timely financial performance reports.
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with input from operational teams.
Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and investments.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
Implement and maintain strong financial controls and procedures.
Requisitos
Qualifications for the role of Controller:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Several years of experience in accounting/finance, with a focus on real estate or property management.
In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting and financial reporting principles.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; property management software experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
