    Job Title: Accountant
    Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
     
    Overview:
     We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our client's Finance team. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting a wide range of accounting activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  This is a temp-to-hire opportunity located outside of Albany, NY
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
    • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and IFRS standards.
    • Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
    • Manage data uploads/downloads and reporting in financial systems (GPS, SAP).
    • Track and analyze project and order data, including revenue and cost projections.
    • Support daily cash application and prepare monthly reports for management and other departments.
    • Create ad hoc financial reports as needed to support business decision-making.
    • Monitor commissions, agent fees, and extended warranty transactions.
    • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
    • Process payables and invoices through Esker.
    • Assist with fixed asset accounting and reporting in SAP.
    • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.
    • Perform additional accounting duties as required.

     
    Aptitudes Requises
     

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or currently pursuing).
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance; 2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
    • Thorough understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles.
