Welder, Fort Edward, NY
Base Pay:  $23.27 - $25.00 / Hour PLUS A DIFFERENTIAL FOR 2ND SHIFT. 
 2nd shift works Monday thru Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

 Our client is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team on SECOND shift, building steel and aluminum gates at the facility in Fort Edward, NY. 
 
We are looking for an enthusiastic, safety conscious, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in their welding abilities. The Welder position is responsible for many aspects of steel and aluminum gate fabrication, including the transportation of materials, cutting of materials, welding and drilling for the assembly of the finished product as well as the preparation of the finished product for shipment.

Requisitos

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Individual must have an excellent safety record.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Ability to read shop drawings and follow verbal instructions.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • High level of motivation and an attention to detail.
  • At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in metal fabrication and                   welding.
  • At least 6 months of experience welding with aluminum preferred.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as oil, grease, steel and aluminum welding fumes,       etc.
  • Ability to access equipment at various levels by reaching or climbing a ladder, bending over, walking, kneeling, and       standing for extended periods of time.
  • AWS certifications, including D1.1, D1.6 and D1.3, are desired but not required.
