Are you mechanically inclined with experience in high-tech manufacturing? A cutting-edge facility near Schenectady, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Assistant to join its dynamic production team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on experience with advanced thin film processing technologies.
Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Assistantwill include:
Assist with daily shift operations related to HTS (High-Temperature Superconductor) manufacturing, testing, and thin film analysis.
Support the maintenance and assembly of complex equipment, including vacuum systems, sputtering tools, sensors, and electronic controls.
Follow established protocols for lab safety and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Record and organize detailed test data and observations to support quality control and process optimization.
Prepare data reports and presentations using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Learn and assist with the development of new process and testing methods under supervision.
Follow proper chemical handling and waste management procedures.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of the Manufacturing Assistant:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-5 years of relevant experience in industrial or high-tech manufacturing environments (e.g., semiconductor, electronics, fabrication).
Strong mechanical skills and basic understanding of electrical/electronic systems.
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-driven setting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $19-$21/hr.
