We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our client's team located near New Lebanon, NY. This role is responsible for designing new products, improving existing ones, and supporting the development of manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, innovative, and comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring engineering projects to completion.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineerwill include:
Design customer products using SolidWorks and other 3D CAD tools.
Develop production tooling, fixtures, and prototype components.
Create production documentation, including work instructions, technical drawings, and solid models.
Lead composite manufacturing process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct material reviews for nonconforming materials.
Prepare technical bids and proposals, including commercial documentation.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to production teams.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components.
Travel to customer and subcontractor sites as needed.
Perform inspections as required.
Select and oversee subcontractors to meet project needs.
Aptitudes Requises
Qualifications of the Project Engineer:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing; composites experience preferred.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks strongly preferred).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $70,000 - $85,000.
