Our client, a well-established manufacturer in Latham, NY, is seeking an Engraving Apprentice to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to learn a specialized trade and grow within the company. You'll begin as a Utility Worker for up to 90 days, learning the equipment and processes before transitioning to running your own engraving press.
Responsibilities of the Engraving Apprentice include:
- Start in a utility role to become familiar with equipment and workflows
- Use work metrics to track production and labor accurately and consistently
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Carefully complete quality control procedures to ensure department press standards are met
- Operate a 5X9 hand engraving press to apply art and text onto stationery products
- Follow detailed work instructions and maintain production efficiency
- Apply basic math skills to ensure precision in all tasks
